Aira launches 100% green energy tariffs powered by Octopus Energy to reduce consumer energy bills
By launching these tariffs, powered by Octopus Energy, Aira is paving the way for European households to further reduce their energy costs and lead more sustainable lifestyles, as many contend with high energy bills, the cost-of-living crisis and the climate emergency.
Engineered to maximise savings and drive decarbonisation, the pivotal clean energy tariffs launched today are:
Aira Zero: the intelligent choice for Aira Heat Pump customers who are looking to maximise energy cost savings and completely reduce CO2 emissions. It has been designed to optimise energy consumption by using more electricity when prices are low.
Saving German households up to €800, and UK households up to £500 on their energy bills each year.
Aira Solar Export is an add-on tariff created for households that have an Aira Heat Pump and Aira Zero and are expanding their clean energy ecosystem with solar panels.
Saving German households up to €2170, and British households up to £1245 on energy bills each year.
Aira Solar Export is available in the UK with both Fixed and Flex options and on a Flex only tariff in Germany.
Aira Zero and Aira Solar Export are the intelligent choice for British and German households looking to save on energy costs and eradicate home heating CO2 emissions. As Aira expands its product ecosystem and a wider array of clean energy-tech solutions come to market such as battery storage, inverters, and electric vehicle chargers, Aira Zero and Aira Solar Export tariffs will enable people to save money on utility bills whilst becoming more energy independent. This is a critical enabler to achieving the energy transition and achieving legally binding net zero goals.
Aira Intelligence’s native integration with the Aira Zero tariff ensures the Aira Heat Pump preheats when energy prices are low and conserves energy when prices are high. The optimisation is automatically turned on once a household switches to the Aira Zero tariff.
Kaj af Kleen, Aira Chief Product & Technology Officer, continues: “We’re proud to be driving this mission forward together and saving people more money with clean energy tariffs. Aira Intelligence’s native integration with the tariff allows us to manage the heat pump optimisation seamlessly, offering customers maximum cost savings and complete peace of mind. We're excited to continue on this path, expanding our ecosystem further and developing future collaborations to bring more clean energy-tech solutions to the market.”
Rebecca Dibb-Simkin, Chief Product Officer at Octopus Energy, said: “We’re delighted to be powering Aira in their mission to supercharge the transition to cheap, clean power for all. Together we’re launching two trailblazing new tariffs that will empower Aira customers to slash emissions and save serious money.”

The tariffs Aira offer in partnership with Octopus Energy are 100% green. This means that the electricity you pay for originates from renewable sources such as wind, solar and hydropower.
Octopus Energy achieves this by working out how much power their customers are taking out of the grid annually and ensure an equal amount of renewable electricity is added into the system in its place over the year. Not only does this make the electricity you pay for carbon free, but it also helps make the energy system greener for everyone.
